Sean Richmond, the acclaimed wrestling coach and athletic director of Stroudsburg High School, was sadly killed in an accident on Interstate 380 on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Richmond, a dedicated husband to his wife, Krista, and a caring father to their two young kids, was on his way to the high school prom at Kalahari Resorts when the disaster occurred. Around 6 p.m. local time, the Pennsylvania State Police received multiple complaints of a pedestrian-tractor trailer incident. Richmond was then brought to St. Luke’s Monroe Campus, where he died from his injuries.

On the evening of May 11, Sean Richmond, the acclaimed wrestling coach and athletic director at Stroudsburg High School, was killed in an accident on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County. Around 6 p.m., the Pennsylvania State Police received numerous complaints of a pedestrian-tractor trailer collision, which marked Richmond’s travel to the high school’s prom at Kalahari Resorts.

Despite the fact that the circumstances surrounding his absence from a vehicle remained unknown, the community was devastated by the tragic death of this committed husband, father, and mentor.
