Colt Gray Shooter is a 14-year-old student, and his father Colin Gray is involved in a shooting attack.

How Colt Smuggled the Weapon
Colt Gray Shooter concealed an AR-style rifle by wrapping it in poster board that looked like a school project, enabling him to carry it onto the bus and into Apalachee High School without raising suspicion.
Surveillance footage captured him boarding the bus with the weapon partially hidden in his backpack, using the rolled-up poster board to conceal the rifle’s shape.
After reaching school, he left his notebook in class, went to the bathroom, and came out wearing gloves while holding the poster board in front of him to further camouflage the firearm as he neared his target.
Inside Apalachee High School
On September 4, 2024, Colt Gray carried out a shooting at Apalachee High School shortly after 10:20 a. m.
After leaving his Algebra class, he entered a restroom, donned yellow gloves, and exited with an AR-style rifle hidden under a poster board.
Colt Gray Shooter opened fire in a nearby classroom, discharging 10 to 15 rounds and resulting in the deaths of four individuals: students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, and teachers Cristina Irimie and Richard Aspinwall.
Nine others were injured, seven of whom sustained gunshot wounds, prompting a rapid response from emergency services.
Text Messages Sent Before the Attack
Before the shooting, Colt Gray sent a concerning text to his mother stating, “I’m sorry, mom,” prompting her to urgently reach out to the school about an “extreme emergency” regarding him.
This message revealed his emotional distress and may have hinted at his intentions, leading Marcee Gray to ask officials to check on Colt. Unfortunately, her call was made too late, as the shooting commenced shortly after.
